I worked as art director on this lyric video for HBF, under the direction of Mighty Nice. I was tasked with creating the overall look and feel for the video, which references a 1980s inspired neon world.
To bring this world to life, I designed neon signs and 1980s style posters and typography, as well as pink-lit alley ways and nightclub interiors. The scenes were brought to life by animator Peter Nizic.
Featuring the much-loved HBF Quokkas, and played to the tune of I Need a Zero (based on Bonnie Tyler’s I Need a Hero), the video has amassed over 1 million views on YouTube. A splash of fun in a year that really has been a quokka shite. 😉 😑
