Year Wines are a boutique producer from McLaren Vale in South Australia. They won the “Best New Act” in the 2015 Young Gun of Wine awards, and their small batch wines are made with integrity and provenance.

I have been working with Year Wines since their first harvest in 2012, and and I have enjoyed watching their brand evolve in that time (and tasting their wine as it grows more delicious with each year).

For their inaugural 2012 vintage, owners Caleigh and Luke wanted a label that was quirky and innovative, and able to stand the test of time. I used digital collage to create a graphic device to frame the name of the wine, and tell a curious story. The flexibility of this device meant we were able to update it slightly for each new vintage – keeping things fresh while mainting visual integrity. For later vintages, I created a new graphic entirely, with different colour options for the varietals.
